Sena Flip case

Hi all, I was thinking of getting a new Sena Flip Case for my iPhone. The case has two magnets that hold the flip cover in place. I remember reading something about these magnets affecting the iPhone's performance in some way. Does anyone remember this, and is it true?

I have that exact case and I have not had any problems with it! When someone mentioned to me on this forum that I should not use it.....I personally went to the Apple Store and checked with a 'Genius' and they said that it was perfectly fine and would not cause damage. Also....they sell that exact case at the Apple Store....so I don't think they would carry it.....if it would cause a problem. 😉

BlingMe is the resident Sena case endorser. Sometimes its suspect, but **** i bought on based on her recommendations and I do like it.

I bought the Sena Elega case though, not the flipcase. I like it. Its nice, i'm a bit concerned about sliding the iphone in and out of it due to possible chrome scratching but...

I like it so far.

Sena's flip case does look nice, i'd say its worth checking out.

LOL! 🙂 I just happen to own two Sena Cases....the Elega and the Magnetic Flipper....that's why I always speak up when someone asks about them. The quality of the cases are nice for the price. But I do want to get myself one of those 'Blingy' Vaja cases in the near future....which is a little more pricey. I've heard many good things about the Vaja cases!

The inside 'back' is leather and the inside 'sides' are velvety and then there's the opening in the front that exposes the whole front with the exception of a little trim to keep the phone from falling out the frontside. So far using either case....I have not experienced any scratches on my iPhone. You will have to remove the iPhone from the flipper case in order to put the iPhone in the dock. But what I do when I'm using the flipper case...so I don't have to keep removing it from the case....is to just plug the sync/charge cable into the iPhone while in the case without using the dock.

I'm teasing... partially 🙂

I'm not sure about the vaja cases. They look like they dont grip the iphone well, and from what ive heard, the top clip of the cover can scratch the top of the phone easily

I got the same case after going through a few cases, not literally, just found they didn't suit me after time. The Sena case has been great. The only thing that I've seen close are the Vaja cases.

The Apple Store only sells it in brown, but you can order it in lots of other colors for the same price if you don't mind the wait.

The only downside I've seen....if you're talking on your phone, it can be a little annoying with the flip part up, but the BT Headset takes care of that problem nicely. As a bonus though, the flip down serves as like a privacy guard when you're texting, etc.
