BFD and Logic 7.2

Has anyone had problems running BFD 1.5 and/or BFD 2 with Logic as a host?
I get weird things happening to Logic's graphics and it crashes too often ever since I installed BFD1.5
I have done all the things I was advised, ie clean large drive for data and lots of ram.
As for BFD2, it behaves even worse.

I've only experienced minor problems running BFD 1.5 with Logic Pro 7.2. Since installing BFD 1.5, I can no longer start up Logic unless BFD is running - which is annoying but not totally disruptive. There is also the fact that BFD is very processor greedy as mentioned above, but again, not totally disruptive.
It's a side issue, but I note that more bugs with Logic 7 have manifested since I upgraded to Mac OSX 10.4.11, and for that reason I am very reluctant to upgrade to Leopard right now- chances are things will get worse rather than better and I will have to upgrade to Logic 8 - on and on it goes... So I'm sticking where I am cos I got work to do.
Since you've already presumably checked your hard drives(s) with a disc utility, repaired permissions, pre-bindings, directories and all that jazz, maybe the only thing left is to try reinstalling both Logic and BFD from scratch-?
I was considering upgrading to BFD2, but now I'm glad I didn't - good luck!

Thanks for that.
My main concern now is that when I load a song that I had saved using BFD Stereo plug in, I get a message BFD Stereo is no longer available. If I then load the song, I find I can't access BFD Stereo but All, Group sand Ultra are still there. Unfortunately all my settings for the Kits etc have disappeared with the Stereo output option.
I have uninstalled BFD2 and re-installed Logic and BFD1.
I am very confused.

Actually, I've just sorted the 'Stereo Plug-In' issue by going into Logic's Preferences and choosing the AU manager. I found that BFD Stereo had some how become un-ticked. I am now re-installing BFD2. I must say that the program is fabulous and the sounds are awesome, I just hope I will be able to get it working stably one day.

On another point. Does anyone else get the message 'CoreAudio overload' when you try and playback a Logic song?

I am running BFD 1.5.46 B10 which is the last update for Logic 7 from the Fxpansion website.
I also have OS 10.4.11. BFD will run ok most of the time but it has caused Logic some weird graphics problems such as in the matrix editor the piano keyboard icon on the left is all jumbled up and in the audio mixer the knobs and faders dissappear leaving just the writing.
I never had any of this before I installed BFS 1.5 and as for BFD2--forget about it.

I don't know Logic Express but are you sure you are looking for it in the AU menu of the plug-ins. See if it appears in Users>Application support>Logic>Plug-in settings. on your system drive.

Can anyone answer this question. Does BFD run on OS 10.4.11? My assistant installed a software update without me knowing till it was too late. I have been running BFD 1.5 on OS 10.4.9 without a hitch. Now Logic Pro 7 crashes constantly I mean everytime I open the sessions and 1 minute in-BOOM. Also, BFD is making frequency pops, squelching sounds as it plays a recoded track. I'm using BFD as a plug in-NOT standalone-that would be useless to us. I'm in the middle of mixing 2 label Cd's an I can't find a work around. I'm using Mac Pro PPC dual 2.5 fully loaded w/ SDRAM. Motu 828 and 2 terabites of LaCie firewire where I keep all samples and song folders. We have a full complement of consoles and outboard gear, V-Drums,etc, but we track thru outboard, mix and edit on Logic 7 Pro and pipe it back to all the anologue. Please...someone let me know if there is a way I can uninstall 10.4.11 or and similiar work around.

THANKS
