64 bit version on iTunes?

I have now downloaded, installed, and had to uninstall iTunes 3 times. Every time I open iTunes it tells me I need to uninstall it because it can't burn or rip CD's. I can burn and rip so I don't know why it tells me this. Didn't bother me until I bought an iPhone today and tried to connect it. I receive a message saying that I need the 64 bit version of iTunes installed but I can't find this. I am pulling my hair out, or lack there of right now, please help!!!

Hi!

I´m stuck with XP 64 as well and can´t get Itunes 7.6 to work properly...this is SAD, because it worked before. I can´t even download the 64bit Version it seems......even though using IE 64....Apple, fix this!

I can't seem to find anything but an article telling me to load iTunes64Setup.exe instead of the iTunesSetup.exe but can't FIND the
64 executable anywhere!!

Where did you get the iTunes64Setup.exe?
And please don't say from the iTunes.com Apple site
I have tried and tried to download anything but the regular .exe from there.

One of the above suggestions worked for me. As stated above:

When using Vista 64 bit, you have to use the 64 bit version of IE to visit the Apple iTunes site.

1) From the start menu, chhose Run...

1) In the Run dialog box enter the following into the "Open" field:
+C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe+

2) In the new Internet Explorer window, visit the following web address:
+ http://www.apple.com/itunes/download+

You'll then be offered the proper iTunes64Setup.exe installer option.

Megatron I am curious why can you not install vista with that motherboard?

The 64-bit version of iTunes only supports Vista, you have to go to the download page on Vista 64-bit to get the the option to download the 64-bit version of iTunes.

Well, with XP64 and IE64 I am still offered the 32bit version, this is so annoying.
