Palm Desktop 4.2.1 revision C for Mac OS X 10.4.x posted

Palm has once again posted a revised version of the Palm Desktop for Mac OS X 10.4 and later, and the following Palm devices:

* Treo 600 and 650
* Tungsten E2 and T5
* Zire 71 and 72
* LifeDrive

They claim to have corrected a
i 'file and folders permission issue which could impair iSync functionality when installing Palm Desktop without administrator rights.'

As they generally do, Palm recommends that anyone who has not already installed the Palm Desktop do so first from the CD-ROM supplied with their handheld or smartphone, so as to include the installation of any files required for optimal operation of their unit. This generalized installer does not include some specific files bundled with some of the Palm devices listed above.

Hmmm. I've tried the install from my new Treo650 CD, then the 4.2.1RevC install over the top of that, all under my admin rights, but still no luck with iSync being able to install the iSync conduit into the Hotsync manager, despite a successful Hotsync. Really want to try and get this sorted, so I can effectively use the iSync conduit to run all my iCal entries into the Treo

I downloaded and installed the rev C, tried a root login,tried pretty much everything I've read in this and other forums, everything installed correctly, but I still cannot sync to my m515. It seems like my mac deosn't even "see" the cradle connection at all. I had a problem with a usb to serial adapter after switching to tiger and eventually hunted around for a new driver for the thing. Could this be the same thing with the Palm cradle?
Very frustrating.
