i tried everything i could think of i sucked on the headphone jack look to see for debris or anything suck and nothing i turned it on and off several times and still nothing so i was desperate i grabbed my blow dryer i set it on high and bam it worked i could hear everything hope this helps you an saves you money
Has anyone ever used www.iphonerepairmiamibeach.com? they're site looks really professional and it looks like they know what they're doing. My phone is beyond all of these tricks. I've stuck so many things in the headphone jack (including ALL the other options), I've stripped the inside of it and it needs to be replaced.
I do not know anything about the repair shop you listed but I have used http://www.iresq.com/ 2 times and highly recommend them. They repaired an audio jack & cracked screen on my daughter's ipod touch. They were fast and very reasonable. They are out of Olathe Kansas.
They are A+ rated on Better Business Bureau
Thank you so much!!
Thanks a lot.. It worked :)
My iPhone 5 just started doing this earlier as well. I tried updating it, sticking headphones in and out numerous times, sticking it in really hard, all sorts of things and suggestions with no luck. Then I finally tried the sucking of the headphone hole and waaalaaah!! It was working again!! Sounds strange but definitely worked for me! Give it a shot if nothing else is working...
Man I did the Q-Tip trick but it didn't work. I put in my headphones in like 30 times and it didn't work either so I was like: "What do I have to lose?" So I did your trick and I felt liquid flow into my mouth and now my phone works again. Thanks a lot :D
We tried everthing posted hear nothing worked until we tried shannon's solution which worked
Blowing out the headphone socket with compressed air did the trick right away! Many thanks!
Thanks,
I knew sucking hard would pay off for me someday.
I tried this and IT WORKED!!!
YAY!
Using a hair dryer worked for me!!! Would never have thought of it! Thank you!!!
omg!! thanks u guys!! this really helped after blowdrying the speaker nothing worked but i plugged and unplugged my headphones after 3 tries it worked!! thanks for saving me a ton of money!!
Can of compressed air did the trick!!!!!
Forgot ipad 2 3g on car roof, started washing it, ipad got its part of cleaning. Stuck on headphones. Depression. Panic. Rejection. Finally, airplane mode, wait 5 secs, then aquick suck and blow in thejack and back to normal mode. Its working, yay. Note it laid in the car over night, mostly surface moist drying away.
My 2 cents thrown to the pile
When this is a physical problem, then the above solutions work. When its a software, or Logic board issue, none of this works. The only way to tell is to try everything above, then actually replace the entire headphone jack flex assembly. If the problem still presents itself, the issue is one of many Apple knows about and has NO fix; ie. Auto focus, charge port, mic, incoming call speaker, etc..
If you havent figured it out yet, I'm a repair shop in business 20 years, and have fixed hundreds of iPhones. When there is nothing physically wrong(Liquid damage included) with a phone and these problems still present themselves, we call it an Apple Bomb. If youre lucky enough to get an Apple Bomb still under warranty, you'll get it replaced. If it's one day over a year, youre done. Apple has known about these problems for years and offers no fix.
I have a headphone problem now with a phone I changed the LCD assembly on. I have swapped the part out with a known working one, and it still does not work. Then I restored it, and it still thinks its in Headphone mode. Apple Bomb.
Yet next month 1 million Apple Nuts will be waiting for the next POS to come out...My repair business likes them though...thank you.
Yes Yes Yes. This is my issue exactly!!! Tried evrything for months, had the headphone jack completely replaced and nothing still. Though I have this big issue overall Apple producs have been good to me so yes I'll probably another Apple POS
