iMac Resolution

hey is the imac 20-inch 2.4ghz resolution really crisp or is it blown up to fit the screen. display resolution confuse me lol. im spoiled by my 1920x1200

Dont have and iMac yet., Other OS, Ubuntu

The 20" has a native resolution of 1680x1050 and a pixel pitch of about .258 which is equivalent to the pixel pitch of a 23" LCD at 1920x1200. The pixel pitch is how close the pixels are to each other(measured diagonally). So generally the tighter the pixel pitch the finer the resolution. For example the 24" iMac panel has a pixel pitch of about .27 slightly higher than that of the 23" Cinema display hence why it's 1" larger but displays the same resolution.
