VPN Issue

VPN Issue

Hi,
I am having a problem with my VPN connection.
I have no problems connecting to the VPN server and I can use its internet services without any problems. But after a while(can range from 5mins to 30mins), the internet connection just stops working but I am still connected to the VPN.
I have tried pinging something when this happens and this is the response I get:
ping: sendto: No buffer space available

I have googled around a bit but couldn't really find a solution. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this or can help me fix it please?

I'm experiencing the exact same error with my MacBook Pro using OpenVPN. No resolution yet, just started investigating.

Add me to the list of frustrated VPN Users.

PPTP to MS RAS server.

ping sendto: No buffer space available

CONSOLE shows, PM kernel dlil_output: output error retval = 37

In other threads I've also noted that users had also installed XCODE. Have you installed XCODE?

I experience the same problem on my Windows boxes... probably not an OS issue. (Though I could be wrong...)

Try ifconfig, do you have only one tun device tun0, or more?

Sometimes I have 2 exactly the same tun device tun0 and tun1, and it doesn't work for obvious reasons.

I end up doing a `pkill openvpn` and restart the whole thing, so that I only have one tun device tun0.

Same problem here. VPN works for a certain period and then dies with the known messages. XCODE is installed. Don't know what it should matter though.

Same problem here with a dial up connection through AT&T Palm Treo 680. I cannot download anything. I have VmWare Fusion installed and I tried http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6936393

It seems to make it better but I really want to know how can I make it go away.

Hi,
My mac don't can make a VPN conection with PPPT protocol, i have always the same result: No buffer space available, the stange things is that the procedure of connection works well for some seconds the VPN works well... after it is impossible to navigate and to use the net.... Please help me i need the VPN to work

Hi,
same problem here. 😟
It seems to be traffic related. I can use MS Remote Desktop Connection via VPN without problems.
But when I try to transfer files I get these timeouts. (no buffer space, dlil_output retval...)
