Error processing calendar data (210)

I have problems with my iCal Server on 10.5.1. I cannot enter data to my calendar. Always get an error: Error processing calendar data (210). My error.log says

Hi,

just had the same problem. The following fixed it for me, go to the Workgroup Manager, into your group that has the calendar, there into members and then I had the button "Upgrade Legacy Group" there, which I did. Restarted the server and it worked.

Maybe it was other things, like going back and forth between the Server Admin and the Workgroup Manager, but this I don't know 😉

i get the same error sometimes, and my wiki calendar is incredibly slow..
i think it has to do sometht with this, but i don't know where do set those SACL for calendar?

2008-01-24 13:19:29+0100 [-] [caldav-8008] [HTTPChannel,2455,192.168.2.19] Unauthenticated users not enabled with the 'calendar' SACL

this is the server itself trying to access.
does anyone have a hint? i can't delet the group cause the calendar server is allready in use, and there are a lot of entries in the calendar.. same thing in the wiki...

so i would prefer to change those SACL somewhere to fix it?
the other thing is this happened out of nowhere, i didnt change anythign since i was sick and noone else is doing anything on this server!?
any clue how this could happen?

As far as the calendar being very slow I've got numerous threads about this.
It got to the point where we couldn't even use the wiki, blog, or calendar.

I ended up doing a cron job to kill DirectoryServer every 15 minutes, which then restarts itself.
Now it's all speedy again. Of course this creates other problems, if anyone is trying to check email, login to ichat or anything else that requires authentication since for a brief time during the restart of the service nothing can be authenticated.

Hi everyone.

Had same problem. Banged my head on walls until :

When you create or modify users or groups and want them to have later use of calendar, YOU MUST have the calendar, web services offline.

If you do not do that, unic ids get burned and when you will fire ical and web services, they will not find there way and say error 210.

So, one more time :

1 - ical and web services OFFLINE
2 - creation or modification on users or groups
3 - ical and web services back online in this order.

Hope it helps

Cheers

Did you implement that toggle guestaccess AFP patch that was suggested in the AFP crash thread? I started to have this problem as soon as I implemented that workaround, and haven't had it since I disabled it. If you did implement that workaround, I might suggest unloading it and rebooting. Unfortunately, it appears to me either I lose AFP services regularly when directory services crashes, or iCal starts to fall apart... neither is preferred in my books...

Best,
Josh

I believe the problem might be kerberos.
as a check do the following :

in Server Admin -> iCal try first to deselect Enable SSL

then Error 210 should go away.

To have SSL work I had to explicitely select in iCal : Authntication "Digest" and neither Kerberos nor both.
Then error 210 went away.

good luck

I'm having a similar 210 error problem with my wiki calendars. The iCal clients work fine, just trying to access group calendars.

I noticed this in the "web" service error log:

[Wed Feb 13 14:05:26 2008] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[Wed Feb 13 14:07:43 2008] [notice] Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.6 OpenSSL/0.9.7l PHP/5.2.4 configured -- resuming normal operations
[Wed Feb 13 14:07:58 2008] [error] [client fe80::20d:93ff:fe48:ebd6] File does not exist: /Library/WebServer/Documents/users, referer: http://myserver.local/groups/

The folder being asked for is not there. Any ideas? I'd very much like to get this service running and don't really want to reinstall the server.

Cheers,

Frank.

Hi all,
Assuming you have iCal service running with data store setup, Host name ->your server domain name on port 8008 and Any Method selected for Authentication:
I have found the 210 error is predominately caused by a permissions error on the data store for the calendar server (usually found at /Library/CalendarServer/Documents.
CalendarServer folder must have _calendar (as the owner and group) with read/write, others read only.
The enclosed Documents folder must have _calendar (as the owner and group) with others having none.
You can set these in Server -> File Sharing -> Browse -> /Library/CalendarServer and use Permissions setting in POSIX. To set the owner and group if not already set to _calendar use the pencil and propagate the permissions at the gear icon.
Once permissions are right check that there are calendars and principals folders in the Documents folder.
In Server Admin -> Web -> Site -> Web services set groups for Wiki/Blogs and Web Calendar.
In WGM enable the group to have web services with web calendar for the site you selected.
In Server Admin add the group to the Site -> Web services panel to Allow group to create wikis.
Go to the web site groups page with your browser and the group should be listed.
Go to the Wiki calendar and make an entry.

In Server Admin check the /Library/CalendarServer/Documents/calendars/groups that a named group folder has been created.

The message in the previous post refers to the groups page selection for users and says that Users aren't set up for individual blogs on the site web services.

I hope this helps.
Harry
