Compressor 2.0.1 "error trying to open source media file"

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue. I updated my quicktime pro software to version 7.4 yesterday using automatic software update and ever since then I get an error message when I open Compressor 2.0.1. Before I can even import any FCP sequences, I get this message...

"error trying to open source media file"

I've never had this problem before but since this quicktime update, I can't get compressor to work. Is the QT software update the cause of the problem? I've searched the forums for an answer and I can't find one. Can anyone please help!?

Thanks, thanks a lot !! I had already deleted Compressor and reinstalled it and nothing happened ...
I had look for some solution along forums and nothing ..... I could never imagine that another software could be the problem. Whoever though about it and tryed the downgrading and everything else is a genius, and you are a great guy just for putting the solution here.
Greetings ....
