Color Media Storage Locations

I would like to know if anyone can tell me if you can store the media files for a color project on any other drive except the home user/documents folder on the main drive. I have a RAID that I use for my FCP6 media when I am working on a project that works like a charm; however Color seems to have a serious problem in that it will not allow that same ability. I find that to be a major issue. I would appreciate any help with this.

HI JP Owen,
Seems I have somehow managed to relink files and get FCP to work however I am unsure if I have lost files I will need to capture or use other effects of features of Final cut.
Once I finish this project I will most likely need to reinstall FCP. This is a scary concept for me after all the trouble I have had over the past few days.

Final Cut will let you know right away what is missing by listing those clips, anyway, as "offline" and then it will be recapture or re-render time, or whatever it takes to re-instate them.

Not a pleasant experience for you, I can well imagine, but hang in there.
