google maps...dropped pin

ii cant seem to find out how to delete a dropped pin after i make the final drop and it changes from purple to red.

i was playing around with the new feature and i dropped a pin 2 blocks from my house that doesnt man anything to me and now i cant delete it from the map.

Click the blue arrow next to the pin. It has an option to delete the pin.

actually it does not.
i guess the next answer i will get is to restore my phone and re sync.
that seems the be the most common answer to problems.

thats it no other options.

Um.. Actually it does it is called... drum roll.. remove pin.

Might as well throw a restore in there too tho since you seem to like the idea of one.

The option to delete is there ONLY if you just dropped the pin. Try getting directions to or directions from and the option to delete is gone.

To the OP: It seems there is no way, but if you simply do a new search the pin goes away......

Ok... in that case just X it out at the top.

If it says Start: Dropped Pin (x) Hit the X.

I found that if drop a pin and save it, then go to get directions and use that pin from bookmarks there is an option to edit. Click that and you can then delete it.

the "remove pin" option is not there.
there is no use arguing over this.
ill do a restore re sync when i get time.
untill then...its not a big deal.

This is a video I made of how to delete the drop pins. The video isn't great, I'm using my digital camera and I couldn't get a very good video. But, it has the main point and you can see what I'm doing. Hope this helps.
