No 'Address Book' in Application Support to fix search issue?

I am having a similar problem to a lot of other posters here in that my search feature in Address Book fails to find all possible matches. (In fact, I can be looking at a contact's name in the Contact Column, but when I search for that name, Address Book's search feature doesn't find the contact.) It seems that other posters have solved this problem by going to: userhome>Library>Application Support>Address Book>AddressBook-v22.abcddb and then trashing AddressBook-v22.abcddb. My problem is that once I get to Application Support, there is no Address Book file. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to repair my address book search feature?
