I have a Samsung WEP-200 that I previously used on another handset with no problems. However when I try to pair it up on my iPhone it just says "discovering" and never passes that screen. I've read here that it might be the 1.1.3 firmware update. Others have said that they have had success after restoring their phone. Still others have said that they had to exchange their iPhone. Can anyone confirm that this headset works with the iPhone?
I have 1.1.2 jailbroken Iphone and it works just fine pairing and operating with my iphone. Though the sound quaility of the unit is not the best it does work just fine. I hope this helps.
I got my WEP200 to work w/ the iPhone 1.1.3 today. It took me three tries, then it asked for a PIN number I didn't know (second guess of "0000" worked). Since then no problems.
I had my iphone since july always with the latest firmware, when the 16gb came out a upgraded my 8gb iphone and I never had a problem with the samsung WEP-200.
I hope this help.

I found this bit of advice on CNET.com and it worked for me. I set the IPhone to discover with my WEP200 powered off. Held the power button down for 8 seconds and it paired up. Simply turning the WEP200 on was not enough for it to pair with the IPhone. Hope this helps.
The headset operation is a little tricky at first: you have to hold the button down for four seconds to turn it on, and for 8 seconds to pair it with a phone. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but pairing isn't something you'll have to do regularly.
I have problems with my Samsung (and others) the blue light should NOT be blinking hold the on button until the blue light stays on continuously then iphone should "find" it then enter code (Factory sets it at 0000 four zeros) Sometimes when I shut my bluetooth off I have to "re-pair" it to the iphone.
Hi, I can't get this to work with the 3g... It pairs but the Bluetooth icon remains gray (inactive).
The headset works fine with my old samsung phone and with my ps3. Can anyone help me?
As a note, the bluetooth headsets do not actually connect to the phone untill you are in the phone "mode" (at least this is how it works on my iPhone with a Moto H700). have you tried to actually make a call withthe headset?
thanks for the reply; it will not route calls through the headset nor will it activate the headset when i initiate the call... i'm not sure what else to do
i know the headset works as i tested it out last night
would doing a "restore" work?
i may bring the phone back to the store i purchased it from and see if they can help me 😟
