iPhone + Samsung WEP-200

I have a Samsung WEP-200 that I previously used on another handset with no problems. However when I try to pair it up on my iPhone it just says "discovering" and never passes that screen. I've read here that it might be the 1.1.3 firmware update. Others have said that they have had success after restoring their phone. Still others have said that they had to exchange their iPhone. Can anyone confirm that this headset works with the iPhone?

ive got the same problem.
It pairs but the Bluetooth icon remains gray (inactive).
Can this problem be connected with the ne firmware?

i can not be possible that the wep200 works on some ipohones but not on my 😟

I just purchased the samsung wep200 for my iphone with the newest software 2.1.
The bluetooth works pretty good. All you have to do is hold the button down on the bluetoot until the iphone pairs with it. So i hope this helps anyone who spent some time trying to figure it out and getting the impression that its not compatible like i did.

I just got the wep200. i have an iphone with 2.0.1. It discovers the headset then when i click to pair it says "could not pair with WEP200" any ideas?

I was about to toss out my WEP200 and buy a new one until I finally found this post. Holding down the button for 8 seconds did the trick, and now phone and headset are working perfectly. Thanks to all who replied with solutions.
