iPhone 1.1.3 Bugs

I have discovered several bugs in the latest firmware on my bone stock 1.1.3 iPhone. Wonder if anyone else is seeing these as well?

1) I am finding that after the upgrade to 1.1.3 my phone is dropping a lot more calls. (traveling the same route for years and know I have good coverage) I find that quite often after about 5 to 8 min of talking on my commute to work the call will get dropped, the signal bars drop to 0 and the display show call failed. When I press end call the signal immediately returns to full strength and the phone works normally.

2) I have created a few custom ring tunes using GarageBand and transfered them to the phone without problems. However I have found that if I assign a ringtone to a specific contact that my custom ringtone only seems to work about half of the time. The other half the default tone plays when the caller with the specific tone calls. I have tested this and it seems totally random to if the default or the custom plays. Also I have tested this with the standard tones by assigning a different built in tone to a contact, and the same thing happens. I have not noticed this problem before 1.1.3. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution? I have checked my address book and for the contact has only one entry in the address book, and also the caller ID and the photo assigned to the caller, but the ring only works half the time.

3) My iPhone will create a blank home screen when ever I add a new bookmark on the phone. I have added 3 additional web bookmark icons to my main home screen (To fill it up, I think it looks nicer than the empty space) but now every time I add a new bookmark (Not a home screen link, but a simple bookmark) my phone has an empty home screen page that will stay until I reboot the phone.

Anyone seeing the same, or maybe have a fix or workaround?

As one of many who hasn't hacked the iphone, after upgrading to 1.1.3 this iphone is all I've ever wanted in a useless windows mobile phone! (Yes that was sarcasm) I mean, why would Apple come out with an update and not have all issue's worked out? I love the update's, but not if they won't work! Anyone figure out how to downgrade back to 1.1.2?

APPLE, PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Crazy problems with Dropping calls since 1.1.3

The phone has been very solid until now. People are even saying its ringing in weird at times to. I have been in same home office environment for months now using the pone without issue until the upgrade to 1.1.3.

Just got off a 45 minute call with At&t in which they claimed that by loading 50% of the memory with music or pictures it would negatively effect the signal strength, yikes. They would not send that statement to me in writing however.

Still hope to resolve this dropped call issues quickly, as I really love my iPhone.

I too have dropped calls and even less bars than before. At home it used to be full bars and after the "upgrade" I'm down to 2 or 3 (I'm in an excellent reception area as per ATT). Also, when I'm in Safari and am scrolling around, Safari crashes and returns to the home screen. It does not happen all the time but is very annoying. Sending a text message also seems to take longer than before.

I too have the exact problem. In my home dropped and garbled conversation with full signal.
I NEVER had that issue before..;(

I talked with a Apple rep. and although ATT and I did a restore..arrgh and though quite customer service friendly they offered a sim replacement. But everyone with an iPhone already knows the sim card is secure..unless you like to play with sim cards..lol

Today ATT said that there was a tower with issues in my area..
Before the 1.1.3 update all was fine in my home which is considered "best signal service area".

Sure seems as though APPLE needs a fix to this issue of dumping calls...My iPhone was flawless, perfect, never had any issue of any kind....thought I'd found the perfect phone, UNTIL I UPGRADED TO 1.1.3////// Worst decision I could have ever made. I drop calls every single day where I can't ever remember dropping a call before this dang upgrqade. Talk about regret. I loved that phone, now I dread having any conversation related to busiess as I look like an idiot. FIX THE PROBLEM>>>>>>PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

I've been having a few major problems with my Phone since the update. My iPod doesn't show any album art whatsoever although I've made sure all my albums have the album art in my library. My voicemail now asks for a password yet I never entered a password so I cannot access my voicemail. I'm also experiencing trouble with the phone vibrating with a message or call but the ring does not go off. I've made sure silent mode is off and the ring is set in setting many times. It's quite frustrating. My phone's battery also depletes much greater amounts just sitting in my pocket in sleep mode. I have tried restoring the phone several times and reinstalling the new iTunes update. I think its time to take it into an Apple Store and have them play around with it.

I have had the same issue. Dropping a 90% of my phone calls now anything between 1 minute into the call and 25 minutes into the call. I have been talking with apple and at&t. I have dropped calls with the headset in, no headset, standing still, driving in a car. I live in a relatively large city and have not had one single dropped call until the 1.1.3 update. Here is what I did so far, these things were suppose to help.

1. Turn on airplane mode for more than 30 seconds (i did for up 3 hours) - DID NOT WORK

2. Complete charge of the phone - DID NOT WORK

3. Remove and re-insert the headet 5 times - DID NOT WORK

4. Soft reboot - held in the top right button until power off symbol appears then power off - DID NOT WORK

5. Removed the sim card and made sure there was no dirt on it.

6. Hard reboot - held in the top right button and the home button for 3 seconds until the apple symbol appeared - DID NOT WORK

7. I am currently doing a system restore and will post my result, hopefully that works.

The sad thing is I was just bragging that I have not dropped a single call with my iphone.... 😟

Since the upgrade, I am having problems with dropped calls, no service, and not receiving ANY calls (callers can not even leave a voicemail). Like most people on this thread, I had little to no trouble with my iphone prior to upgrade. My previous phones, also on the AT&T network, never had any of the aforementioned problems. I am eagerly awaiting a remedy to this problem. Must we wait for Apple to address and fix the problem, or is there a proper way to remove current upgrade? I would rather have a working phone and forgo the new features...for now.
