Answering the iPhone wearing gloves

Hi, I do a lot of motorbiking and want to be able to answer the iPhone when on the go, with my old phone I just pressed a button, but with the iPhone being touch screen it will not respond when wearing gloves. I connect the iPhone to my bikes intercomm via blue tooth, any ideas how I can answer the call while wearing gloves, please ?

Most Bluetooth devices have a button that you can press to answer a call. Do yours?

Afraid not no bluetooth button, my previous phone I just pressed the answer call button.

Not possible with the iPhone which requires skin touch for the touch screen so unless you change your bluetooth gear to include an answer call button, this is a no go.

I've just tried using mine with a sticking plaster on my thumb - it worked.

The iPhone uses glass on the screen and it's heat sensitive. So gloves will not work. Just as a pointer/stylus won't work.

How thick was this plaster?

I'm not familiar with any gloves made out of plaster which wouldn't work for motorcycle use regardless but coating your hands with plaster sounds like an option. 😉

I understand that. I was referring to the button on the bluetooth device, but unfortunately the OP's device does not have one?

87over,

On the headset that came with the iPhone the mic doubles as a button, pinching it can be used to answer calls if you are using the headset.

Actually, it isn't heat sensitive. The screen responds to the electrical resistance of skin, not its heat.

Its pretty cool.

Double check the instructions that came with your bluetooth headset. Most decent quality bluetooth headsets have some kind of button on the earpiece that can be used to answer and hang up a call, for cases where the phone might not be immediately reachable. If not, you may want to consider getting yourself a new bluetooth headset.

Use the tip of your nose or even your tongue to slide the unlock/answer slider. I am not joking, look at my location <- it works very well!

yeah, this is one reason why your touch is so acurate, you can hit links with the middle of your finger (where bone is closest to skin) and nail that itty bitty link. i dont believe the voyager has this (as far as i know) something to hold over voyager owners!! hoorah!
