Hotmail Blocked?

A majority of the time that I use safari on my iphone to try to log in to my hotmail account I am unable to do so. After entering my password the page just resets itself with the password field empty. It doesn't matter how many times I enter my password, the page just keeps resetting. This has been happening more often to both mine and my husbands iphones recently. What is up? Apple and AT&T reps blame it on a "hotmail issue" but I've never had this issue opening up my hotmail on anything other than an iphone.

I do not use hotmail much, except for email with companies I do not want to have my normal email, but every-time I have attempted to login on the iPhone, I have succeeded and it has never booted me off.

Is your iPhone 1.1.3? It seems to have major bugs especially with network issues.

I have had that problems for several months now. Initially I was able to log in using safari on the iphone, however, somehow that ended. I suspect that it has something to do with hotmail and their security features not responding well with the iphone features. Regardless, it is not a recent firmware problem as I have had this since 1.1

If you can log in to other websites with no problem - your bank or AT&T's website to access your account, etc., this has more to do with MS's website design and not with the iPhone.

Have you updated your iPhone to 1.1.3?

Try the following troubleshooting steps below. If they do not help then please post back.

1. Make sure any tabbed windows in Safari on iPhone are closed so you only have 1 page being viewed.

2. Visit any site except hotmail

3. Go to Settings - Safari - Clear history, cookies, and Cache

tried the reset/clear cache cookies etc but still recurring login screen!!! I did have this problem on my macbook pro but doing the reset/clear some months ago worked for that but not for the iphone!! 😟

ive had this problem on some sites and i find that it does this usually when i go back to a page that was already open and try to log in. open a new page on safari on your iPhone and log in from there that usually works for me when it keeps taking me back to the log in page
