Mazda 3 iPod Integration

I have an iPhone with the latest 1.1.3 firmware installed. Does anybody know if the iPod integration kit from Mazda is compatible with this? I am currently using the Aux_In feature of the car, but I feel complete integration where I can adjust the volume and change songs with the built in stereo and steering wheel controls would be safer and easier.
The car is a 2008 Mazda3. I have called the dealer and asked them and they said I was the first to ask that and that they don't know. I also asked if they had a car on the lot that I could try it out on, but apparently the kit is installed by the dealer and none come installed from Mazda.

I believe I can answer your question. I have a 2007 Mazda 3 Hatchback. I purchased the Ipod kit when I bought the car almost a year ago. The kit workes great with the Ipod but sorry to tell you it WILL NOT work with the Iphone.

I have the Mazda iPod Integration kit in my 2006 Mazda 3 and it works great with my iPhone! I dont have any problems with it at all. As far as the other dude saying it doesnt work... Dont know what his problem is. I just put it in about 1 month ago, so maybe I have a newer model or something? (I have 6 disc in dash changer and Bose too)

The mazda kit is $150.

However I got one from these guys

Theirs is $125 and works better than the mazda kit as it allows you to control from the ipod/iphone. The mazda kit disables the ipod controls you have to scroll through playlists/songs through the stereo and get a white screen with accessory attached or something similar on the ipod.

I use the RPM Store kit with 1st gen nano, 160GB Classic and the iPhone, it works fine with all three.

I can't get that website to work at all. IE debates going to it and then says not found. I have an '06 model and I had to pull the radio out to install the FM modulator thing. Do you have to do the same with this kit?

If anyone is looking to buy a kit for a mazda 3 I bought a P.I.E adapter and was looking to sell it because i bought something else instead.

I bought:

It works wit iPods via the dock connector and iPhones and other mp3 players with the headphone connector. The only problem is that you will have to get an adapter for the iPhone headphone jack, seeing that it is not a standard size.
