Using USB AirCard with Airport Express

Using USB AirCard with Airport Express

I have a USB AirCard that works fine connected directly to my MacBook Pro or other laptops. I would like to connect it to the USB port on my Airport Express and use the air card to support 2 or 3 laptops for internet access that way occasionally.

Is this possible? I tried just popping it in and the light just flashed yellow. I don't see how I can order the AirCard to Connect...

Simple answer - you can't do that.

The only two USB peripheral devices you can connect to an Airport Express USB port are (a) a printer and (b) the Keyspan Express Remote.

As for your USB Aircard - it must be plugged into the USB port of a computer.

Thanks! I guess I will have to set up Internet Sharing thru it or find a router that will work with the USB Air-card. Linksys and others seem to have them for PC Cards but I haven't seen one for the USB Air-cards yet.
