Imac display has yellowing in the corners

This is actually the second imac I am on. The first one had a stuck pixel on the left side of the screen.

This one has what looks like "water stains" on the four corners of the display. It is really only noticeable on a white background? Anyone else have this problem? Not too sure if its a dealbreaker or not.

dell, Windows XP, mac mini, 2ghx with 2gigs ram, dell inspirion notebook

Hi glocke12

Go to: "Apple / System Preferences / Display / Color" and try selecting a different "Profile" or "Calibrate" to build a new profile!

Most folks I know use photo's on there desktop not solid white, blue or gray backgrounds!

Which iMac do you have, your profile show's a Dell machine?

Hi Dennis,

I have the 24" 2.4 gig. I did calibrate the screen, but the yellow is still there, kinda like an old water stain on a wall. Im thinking more and more that its not that big of a deal, I only see it with a white background, and even than I kind of have to look for it.

It could be dirt or residue on the back side of the glass screen. Others have reported problems like that, especially if they smoke or burn candles in the house. Since the glass isn't sealed, any pollutants in the air can get inside of it and stick to the glass.

****, someone at apple factory must have gone through **** polluting 100,000 screens with yelow stains on purpose ! It's sabotage I tell you !
