Hard Drive Icon/Candy Bar

Hi,

I was tinkering around with CandyBar 3's Demo, and all of a sudden, the Hard Drive icon is different. I'm not sure what I did to change this, but all I know is that I can't do a get info and hit delete on the icon: nothing happens. I do not like this new icon as much, and would very much like to get the old one back.
Thoughts?

Hi

Just click on the hard drive icon and 'Get Info' (Command + "I"), highlight/click the main icon view in the window and hit 'Delete', the icon will revert to its original one.

CandyBar is also a bit tricky, sometimes you need to log out or restart before seeing some of the icons take effect; You might be experiencing something similar here.

Well, I tried both of your suggestions and none worked. I think my problem is that my current Hard Drive icon has been changed with Candy Bar, and now, since I had the demo version, Candy Bar 3 is gone from my Hard Drive. I just want it to go back to Apple's default.

Have you tried just pasting some other icon on the drive? Personally, I'm using this one that I made:

Drag it to your Desktop, double click it, it should open in Preview. Select Copy, then GetInfo on your drive, select the wee little icon at the top of GetInfo, and paste. Does the drive icon change to the new one?

Francine,

Thank you, but I have already fixed the issue. I downloaded the trial of Candy Bar 3 again, and used that to reset all the icons back to the original defaults. Just what I wanted.
