iphone with sip voip

I am wondering about getting iphone on voip. My situation is that I am not served by any mobile phone provider at home but have a solid wireless high speed internet connection. This would allow me to use the iphone at home over voip and on the road with the mobile carrier.

I can't seem to find the download for iphone, can someone point it out please. sourceforge beta ??

It is not currently possible to use third party applications on the iPhone.

I was wondering if anyone would recommend this im+ skype service for the iphone. I need a wireless (wifi) phone service and was considering the iphone.

This is a call back service and has nothing to do with the Skype you know for your Mac or PC. Above all, they take money for making calls (even if it is somewhat cheaper than calling by mobile phone, if you don't have free minutes anyway). The only free thing on this solution is the messaging. It works quite well.

Too bad about skype.

Looking for an apple solution to wifi telephony using sip voip; may not come soon enough. What telephone would be available that supports sip, has wifi (g), syncs with osx(contacts, notes, maps, browser), GSM is ava locally.

I have looked around for info on this voip idea. And it looks like that when apple starts allowing third party apps that there is a possibility that this will happen. I have bad service where I work so voip might be helpful for me too as I have wifi at the office..

My preference is to have an apple solution, maybe in ichat AV. Seems to be the feature Apple forgot to mention when implementing iphone.

I see the Nokia N95 has wifi telephony.sip voip.
