Hi,

I solve the above mentioned problems on my MacBookPro reinstalling full upgrade Mac OS X 10.5.1, except "SUID File.../ARDAgent.app/... but it shall solve with next upgrade 10.5.2.

Instead on my new Mac Pro 2,8 Ghz there's no warnings. Why is yhis? Boh. I call Apple Support and They tell me that Mac Pro and MacBook Pro are different.

Hi Alessandro,

The SUID warnings in the link provided by imac007 are NOT problematic. The suid bit is set on those files and the repair disk permissions function is working properly. It is notifying you that those files have a different SHA1 digest than what is recorded in the installer database. This is a new security feature. The installer is not properly updating the installer database when using Software Update. The ARDAgent update is supplied in the old package format. This update is also not properly updated in the installer database. This subject has received far to much attention and the solutions posted do nothing more than remove most of the warning messages. There are no permissions changes or is your operating system anymore secure. Nor do removing the messages make your computer run better.
