Assigning Foot Switches and Pedals
I have a Boss FS6 dual footswitch, which I'd like to assign to Patch up and down.
The only problem is, the piano I'm using only has 3 pedal inputs - sustain, sostenuto, soft; and it appears that when pressing the pedals, it outputs a continuous message, rather than just on/off - the MIDI input at the top of Mainstage sort of shows 0-56-127 quickly, then back again, rather than 0-127 as it does in my other controller which has a dedicated footswitch input (it works perfectly there).
This means that when I assign it to Patch up (or down) it sometimes does it, but sometimes doesn't, or sometimes skips two, or sometimes goes back one, etc., because the controller message alternates a bit.
Is there any way I can set the pedal up in Mainstage so that it will work reliably, through the sustain/soft pedal inputs on my piano (Roland FP7)?
Thanks for any help.
