Quick RAM question....Corsair or Kingston?

Im going to be upgrading my iMac from 2gb of RAM to 4gb soon and i have found 2x2gb of kingston value ram and corsair value ram for the same price so i was wondering which one i should get. they both carry lifetime warranty so im just looking to see which one has better compatibility with mac's. I upgraded my iMac with memory from OWC (macsales.com). They were great to deal with and I have bought other stuff from them. When my iMac started to run really slow I thought it was the memory and I called them and they sent me replacement modules and I sent the old ones back in the box that the new memory came in. They picked up the shipping both ways.

As it turned out it may have been another problem altogether.

I share myhighway's distrust of "value ram" products. There have been 2-3 new
threads in the last day or so indicating problems with Corsair memory modules,
and I recall having seeing similar posts regarding Kingston's 'KVR' products.

If you buy from a reputable supplier (check www.resellerratings.com) there's
very little financial risk, but fiddling with unsuccessful installs and RMAs can
be very time consuming.

Check the following link for Apple-specific RAM from Mushkin, Kingston, Corsair
and several others. Also check macsales.com (OWC) and crucial.com web sites --
it's often possible to find "made-for-iMac" memory modules at about the same
price as "value ram."

[Newegg.com -- Apple-specific memory|http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2153340551 1327823918+1328123897&name=DDR2+667+(PC25300)]

BTW, Newegg, Mushkin, and Crucial, score "Platinum Plus" on resellerratings.com.

...you pay for what you get,

Funny coincidence, I just installed 1G of ram into my iMac today. I bought Kingston KTA-MB667 from my local Apple authorized dealer. They guaranteed that it wouldn't void Apple Care and that it was on par with Apple's memory, but at less than a third of the price. But if anything goes wrong they will be fixing my machine. If Apple itself actually repairs your machine in the future you may want to remove it before shipping since it is not an Apple memory module. Runs great now...er greater than before.
