Could Not Activate Edge...

To my fellow iPhone brethren... I just got off the phone with AT&T and this has striclty to do with their servers... not an Apple issue.

Worst case scenario... the problem will be fixed by Feb. 5th but they suspect it will be handled before the days end.

Just thought I'd pass along the message because if your like me... you need your wireless data as much as your morning coffee.

Thanks for this info. I have been having problems all morning in suburban Chicago (and passing through downtown during my commute). It's not even intermittent - I have been totally unable to connect to any Internet services. Same error message: "Could not activate EDGE."

I can't believe they actually told you this might take almost a week to resolve!

yeah, seriously, i didnt know of an error message still inside of school when i can always go online on iPhone, then EDGE could not connect ?!?!?!

by the way though, thanks for the update, im so ****** that EDGE isnt working, but hopefully, the servers will be back up later on today.

hi there.
im from henley Mo.. just outside Jefferson City and i haven't had EDGE since this morning. I was thinking that it was probably weather. which it probably is. thanx for the info tho. ive restored my phone twice now. i hope they get this fixed. i guess you never realize how much you use this revolutionary phone until... well.... you cant.
