Lock Screen while talking on the phone?

Until 1.1.3, if you where talking to someone all you had to do was tap the button on the top and the screen would lock.

Now with this update, instead of locking the screen it now disconnects the call.

So since this not so impressive update, I've managed to hang up on 5 people. Some how I've dialed 2 other people, I guess in an attempt for a three way chat.

Is there anyway to fix this?

I'm almost ready to give up on this thing.

I have the same problem you have and found an easy way to lock the screen.

While on the call, click on the home button. It will take you to the home screen and the top of the screen will show a green bar asking if you want to switch back to call mode.

While on the home screen click on the sleep button at the top of the phone. The phone will go back to the call screen and then at the bottom instead of the red bar showing end call, it will have the scroll bar for lock.
