My Mac won't Shut up!

My Mac all of a sudden started talking to me. Telling me what I clicked and a black box appeared every time I clicked something. It just told me that Firefox has new window. I didn't open a new window. What is going on with my Mac?

iMac w/ Tiger, Bought last year around X-mas

Hello. You have probably got Voice Over on, go to System Prefs.> Universal Access and check the Voice Over is chcked off.
