circuit diagram / connection diagram of internal keyboard

Hello guys, may you help me with my problem: I'd realy like to have an external usb keyboard for my mac like the internal ones of the macbook pro. Now I want to by an internal one (they are using a internal usb connection) and soler the usb connector on the connection.
The problem is, I don't know how can I realize that. My you can tell me? Or you no somebody how knows how to do that crazy thing?
It wold be really nice from you if you can help me out. Thank you a lot. Lars:)

I'm not sure that's possible, but you never know...

I haven't opened up my MBP yet, but unless things have changed significantly since 2005 (the powerbooks), I don't think you can use the keyboard on its own. The problem is that the keyboard, trackpad, and I think perhaps even the ambient light sensor and microphone are mounted on the underside of the top of the case - and they all use a single ribbon that attaches directly to the logic board. True, the keyboard is reported as being on a USB bus, but I'm not sure you can isolate a keyboard and hook it to a USB cable.

In any case, you can look at this page on ifixit.com: http://www.ifixit.com/MacBook-Parts/MacBook-Pro-15-Inch-Core-Duo-Keyboard/IF185- 002

they have a link to some installation instructions - it shows the connection, but not in terrific detail. Look around on their site, you might be able to find a better photo. It also appears that this keyboard has its own ribbon that attaches to the underside of the case - it may be possible to modify this somehow...
