i washed my ipod!!

my mom put my ipod in the washer then it went in the dryer for a few minutes until she realised it was in there, i tried turning it on before she told me that she had washed it. help?

unless you have product insurance or home insurances, the chances are very light for this to be back up and running. i'm sorry to say - buy a new one, and make sure you and your wife check the pockets next time before you wash! good luck!

If you took the AppleCare protection, there might be a chance that Apple will repair or replace.

I washed my Ipod 4th generation. It went through the dryer as well. I opened it up and let it dry out for a day. Then I tried to fire it up, but no go. I ran Ipod diagnostics (google it). It showed that the memory was okay, but the Ipod couldn't complete the hard drive test. BTW, the hard drive sounded like it had marbles in it. I ordered a used hard drive on ebay - you can also buy them new from some sources. After installing it, the Ipod works fine.

I dropped my touch in water for a matter of seconds and it never worked properly again. Had to claim on my insurance for a new one.

i washed my ipod!!
