Did 10.5 kill my Lexmark E210?

Hi,

I'm trying to get my new iMac to print on my Lexmark E210. I know it's an old printer, but I was able to get it to work with a Samsung driver on my ibook (running Panther 10.3.9)

Now I can't seem to get the samsung driver to work with Leopard. Should I start shopping for a new printer?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.1), used to work on my iBook G4 10.3.9

Lexmark site says the printer is windows and linux compatible only. Under 10.5 I can get the printer to 'wake up' to a print request but nothing else happens. None of the logs in /var/log/cups show anything not OK. The printer status pane shows jobs going through successfully, including test pages. But no paper from the printer, unless, of course, I use the test-page button on the front.

BTW I tried several Lexmark drivers in the E-series: E230 to E340

I'm curious why you chose a Samsung driver. If you got this cute little printer to work I'd love to know how.
