Vista not recognizing IPhone as camera....

Ok I was having the same problem. I also noticed that I had a *RED X on my Network Connection Icon.
This is what I did to fix the problem:
Go to Accessories, right click on Command Screen, run as administrator and enter:

net localgroup "Administrators" "NT Authority\Local Service" /add

edit: spacing may not be clear in that font - it is:

net localgroup "Administrators" "NT Authority\Local Service" /add

Then I rebooted My System and Bam it worked no more Red X and The Iphone drive popped up and started working…

I have never had any problems but try this. Open control panel and click on the "Auto Play" icon. At the bottom under Devices you should see Apple iphone, click on that and it gives you options of what you want to do with the pictures, (take no acion, or different import options). Hope this helps.

I was having trouble with camera not coming up as the rest of you are. I tried to uninstall all programs/ services associated with Apple....Did Not Work.
Tried the other ways listed and as I got to the end of this forum I tried biggiek's method and it did work. So try his method first. It will save you some time.
