X11 keeps pulling me to the space it's running in

Hi,

I have been having two issues with X11. One is a problem with spaces and X11. X11 keeps pulling me back to the space where X11 is running making it impossible to do anything in any other space because I get pulled back every few seconds. Is there some setting I can change that will fix that? I'm already using X11-2.1.3 from XQuartz. Is there anything else I can try to get X11 to leave alone and let me work on something else while my simulation in X11 is running? Also, periodically when I try to select a window opened in X11 by clicking on it, another window jumps to the front and becomes selected instead. Is there something I can do about this?

thanks

I've got the same bug. I've also noticed that if, for example, I have an X11 application running on screen 1, and Safari on screen 2, and I move the cursor to the position on screen 2 that corresponds to a menu button with a contextual dialog box or whatever the mouse-over pop-up is called, it appears on screen 2, shortly followed by the space change.

I haven't tried it, but I was thinking that turning off ffm would help. Have you activated it (focus follows mouse in X11)?

Thanks for the answer. I don't have ffm turned on, so that's probably not the problem. How do you do that anyway? I also haven't had menus open up, but maybe that's just because I've never clicked in the correct spot. But thanks again for the answer. At least I know now it's a bug and not something I can do anything about. I guess I'll just have to live with it until someone fixes it.
