Safari/Yahoo Message Boards

You are not alone, same thing happened to me since yesterdays update, Good luck to both of us

also unable to post to Yahoo message board for the past two days, and it appears from reading posts on the Apple/Yahoo board that many running Safari cannot post

Have noticed the same problem for the last 2 days. Cannot post on yahoo message boards since update and cannot post through Firefox either. Somebody screwed up big somewhere and I wish they'd hurry up and fix it......this stinks!

I'm having the same issues on the Yahoo boards. I have tried deleting my cookies and that did not work. I am forced to use Netscape to post on Yahoo now. :o(

Is anyone at Apple working to correct this issue ASAP??????? Waiting for Support to respond on this board.

I am having the same problem, and it is a pain in the behind. I use Yahoo Message boards all the time and now because I did the recent security update I can no longer post to them.

Not only does Safari not work, Internet Explorer also fails to allow me to post to Yahoo message boards.

Come on Apple fix the problem, or at least comment on it and explain what is going on!!!

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but there is no one from Apple support on these forums. These are user-based. There also seems to be a problem with your caps lock key.

Has anyone in this thread tried: repairing permissions, dumping the Safari plist file(s), resetting Safari, removing any relevant cookies from the list (Safari preferences> Security> Show Cookies) -- I see one did -- using another user account to test; restarting the computer/network device; emptied caches (Safari and System)?

I tried ALL of those things. Nothing has worked. Apple has screwed up. I know this may sound paranoid but with the Yahoo/MSFT possible merger in the works could this be intentional by Apple?

My ancient Safari is not having the problem... but I wonder whether I have the security vulnerability, instead.

hey, this is good. first time I've ever used this board. hehehehe, thought I was the only one having a problem. I was posting to finance.yahoo message boards with 10.5.1/Safari. then, I couldn't post anymore. thinking about it now, the problem started right after I downloaded/installed 10.5.2 upgrade.
yes, I can still post to the yahoo boards using Firefox. I like firefox, so not much of a problem.

the problem is getting some response from support at yahoo(all down in the bunker, hiding from Bill Gates) and support at APPL(busy selling iPhones?).

GOOD NEWS!!!! I e-mailed yahoo support and they fixed my posting issue which works perfectly now. I'm guessing they can't fix it unless you let them know you were effected. Go to their "contact us" form and drop them a note. Good Luck everyone!
