TC Release Date

Well I'll stick with Apple regardless of it coming out on the 29th, I mean it's better than anything Microsoft has come up with lately! I just hope I can get AppleCare warranty status for using it "with" my iMac! That seems kinda iffy!

Yo, Smitty... Wireless NAS is not new. & BTW, others are already on the market. However, some can argue they are not as aesthetically pleasing as the TC.

If you can name me one I can rely on on Mac OS X 10.5.2, Intel Macs with 802.11n upgrade that is as easy to setup as an Apple Airport base station and as fast, please tell me.

Check your Sunday paper on 02/24/2008, I read that Best Buy will have an add in it for the Time Capsule, supposedly they will have a very limited supply on hand on that date.

I wish you the best in trying to get a Time Capsule from a middleman (Best Buy) before the Apple Store gets any!!! Looks like the Apple Store should get them NLT friday 2-29-08.

I was at an Apple Store last night and they guy said he won't get any until middle of the week after the release date. Thats in the middle of Iowa though so maybe in some bigger markets, Apple will bring some in on the release date.

[Future Shop|http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=06 65000FS10098839&catid=](in Canada) is stating an estimated arrival date of March 7. Given what others have been saying, that seems correct to me.

I'd prefer not to know about new products until they're ready for sale - my impatience is not a virtue. It has crossed my mind though that perhaps Apple delayed because they need to fix wireless performance, particularly Leopard.

Just got back from Best Buy (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) and Time Capsule is advertised in their current weekly ad dated 2-24-08 to 3-1-08.

After requesting a 1TB TC, the sales rep came back and told me that all the stores have them on order, but none in stock this weekend!

I think they will be shipped to individuals AND to Apple Stores between now and 3-1, and become available between Monday and sometime next weekend!

*If necessary*, Apple will tweak the product software until the last day before shipping (2-28). Then ship the updated units first and update the rest as they ship.
