between the heat and humidity I would not suggest placing it in the tanning bed, maybe on the floor under it

the concentration of uv rays could have done it, a lot of other frequencies can mess up electronics so just the amount of them could have done it.

so the internal earpiece speaker is not working? did the sound get bumped down by chance?

if you were in the US then tanning in a bed would be bad but france has the longest lifespan last i heard so your good to go 🙂

While the UV itself shouldn't cause any interference, there is a lot of magnetic fields associated with the lighting used. Magnetic clips on cases have caused similar symptoms, as discussed in this article:
