Alpine CDA-9884 Ipod issues

Hi there -- I don't have an answer to your question, unfortunately, but I did want to let you know you're not alone with this problem. I just had the CDA-9884 installed, and it works fine with my new nano, but when I hook up my 5th generation 30GB video, I get the "no song" error -- very frustrating, since I listen mostly to my iPod and wanted to use the bigger one that has more songs on it. I called the stereo place today, and they're going to talk to the Alpine folks on Monday. I'll post what I find out.

I Also bought the CDA-9884 since the stereoshop had a sale,also it came with the ipod hook up cord. I have the 5th generation old school 60gb pod that i wanna use with my new deck. I also am running the new update of itunes/ipod 3.2.1. I connect my Pod to the Hook up and the deck screen goes from "No Ipod" to "No Song." I use my pod ever day with no problems ever. I just wanna be able to be able to bump my 9000plus. I like the interface of this deck and how it Works "worked at stereoshop with there lil nano" as far as the functions and ease of use. Anybody know of a deck with this interface that will work with ALL IPODS?

How many songs are on your iPod? I ask because I saw this on Crutchfield's website.

Note: Currently fifth generation iPod video, iPod classic, and iPod touch must be loaded with 3400 or fewer songs to operate properly.
