Adding memory to my eMac G4

My eMac has 384MB of RAM. According to the manual, the memory specs are as follows:

- Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM)
- 3.3 volt (V)
- Unbuffered
- 64-bit wide, 168-pin module
- PC-133 compliant

Is this not just standard 168-pin memory?
Is this Mac specific memory?

I do not want to pay extra money for mac memory if I can get regular memory that works too.

Ideas?

With PC133 RAM, there are Mac compatibility issues. "Just any" PC133 may not work. It's common for hi-density RAM for PCs to be only half-recognized when installed in a Mac; i.e., a 512 module will only show up as 256MB.

See specifics on the RAM offered by these two sites from whom I've bought RAM:

and

http://eshop.macsales.com/MyOWC/Upgrades.cfm?model=146&type=Memory&Criteria=&sor t=a&cat=426

Both show RAM that is eMac compatible. Buy Mac RAM from someone who knows Macs. I've had trouble finding the right RAM at many office and computer superstores. Therefore I've web-ordered my RAM for a long time and can't complain.
