Apogee Ensemble and newest Mac Pro?

I just bought a new Mac Pro (dual quad-core 3GHz) and an Apogee Ensemble interface. Installed all the latest everything, but I can't get Maestro (or Logic) to recognize the Ensemble. Its inputs and outputs seem to work, but I can't control the unit from my Mac. Maestro can't even see it. Oddly, I installed Maestro on my MacBook (also 10.5.2), and have no problem there. Has anyone seen this? Anyone have success with Ensemble on a new Mac Pro?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2), Logic 8.newest

My Mac Pro dates from November and I back-installed Tiger (it's a long story) but in December I got an Ensemble and it worked flawlessly out of the box. Can you see the Apogee Control Panel from within Logic (under Options)? And did you update the drivers? -- I believe Leopard requires updated drivers but that should have been updated when you downloaded software from the Apogee site on registration. Other than that I followed the instructions to quick starting recording and I had my first couple of tracks recorded with 20 minutes of opening the box!

My Mac Pro is brand new (one of those introduced in early Jan) and might have a new Firewire chipset. I've done everything else correctly, and Apogee was not able to explain the trouble (but mentioned the new Firewire chipset in the new Macs). If I could find 1 person who has managed to get this configuration to work, I'd be happy -- then it would be my problem. But I'm afraid it's not me.

Just a note to say that after getting confirmation from other users that the Ensemble works on new Mac Pros, I reinstalled the system software and newest version of Maestro and drivers. All is working perfectly now. The lesson: DO NOT install the drivers that come on the CD-ROM included with your Ensemble. Instead, go to Apogee's website and get the most recent drivers.

The drivers on the included Cd are not the latest 😟
My Ensemble is working very nicely. An occasional hicup but, way less than my Motu 828mk2(that died). Ensemble sounds great too. Even gets a comment from clients who look in the rack.
Good for you guys with the 8 core 3.0ghz! I'm jealous:)Im not sure but the latest driver is for 10.4.11
and 10.5 right?

I've recently started having the same problem. I don't know why. The Ensemble used to work great, then started not showing up. I re-installed the drivers and now am having problems with Maestro not recognizing it and the second headphone output not working. Logic will recognize it but it seems I am unable to control it via software and can not get the second headphone output to work...this is frustrating as ****!
