Connecting MacBook Pro to Dell 2200MP projector

I just got a MacBook Pro, installed a slide show on I-camera and Aperture, connected it to my Dell 2200MP projector, and it doesn't mate. I used the DVI port and toggled it with the video mode toggle key. What am I doing wrong?

hey there pm6,
are you using DVI on the projector as well? if so, w/ both Mac & Projector turned on try this: System Prefs>Displays. Detect Displays>Gather Windows. set rez for Projector, turn off Mirror for Extended Desktop. move the player window to projector display.
