Which FM Radio dock for iPhone in my car?

I would like to use my iPhone through my car radio, which does not have an input jack..

I know the right way is to replace my radio for a more modern unit, but, humor me, is there an in car FM radio device that is compatible with iPhone?

ps, upgrading to FW 1.1.4 DID improve my phone reception.. wow!

I bought the Monster iCar Play at the Apple Store and it works fine. If the phone rings you will need to unplug the jack to answer the phone, not much of a hardship that I can see. I didn't need to disable or enable airplane mode. As I mentioned earlier, I have my phone perched in a nice bracket on the dash, plugged into the cigarette lighter with an adapter to keep the charge up on long drives. The sound is excellent.

I just picked up a Belkin cassette and it works! The phone even works! I can even send text while listening to music over my car stereo.

The unit is white, the wire is white.. cost $14.99 locally.. here is a link to something similar:

All these adapters are under $20.. but only work if your car is old enough to have a cassette player 🙂

I don't have a cassette. I made the decision yesterday to upgrade my Pioneer head unit to a newer one with a front AUX jack, get the cable from the Apple store, and not mess with anything like an FM transmitter, etc.

So I'm going shopping as soon as Circuit City opens. 🙂

I just bought he Belkin Tunecast and it works better than the Monster one I had with my iPod and it is compatible with iPhone.

I just received and tested the Sony cpa9c.

The Sony jack does not fit iPhone. The headphones adapter is made by
Belkin, available at Radio Shsck for 11 dollars. Its quite big, and I dont like it.

The Sony has less mechanical noise than the Belkin cassette. But, the Sony is not all that quiet.. between songs you can hear it turning.

My vote is for the Belkin, the headphone jack is a dealbreaker for me. And the fact the Sony also has mechanical noise.
