Cannot Access AOL Mail using Safari

Have been using Safari for ~1.5 years to access AOL mail without difficulty. Can no longer do it since 9/19 morning. Message says something like 'AOL Mail has been updated, please click here to continue.' = Endless loop. Running OS 10.3.9. AOL Help has been an oxymoron, except they have admitted that I'm not the only Mac person with this problem. Anyone who knows why this is happening, please advise. Thx

<<P.S. Anyone who wants to take shots about AOL, please skip it. I've got my reasons for continuing with AOL, in addition to other mail systems.>>

Have zero experience using the Apple Mail app. Will try it tonite.

RE Firefox or other browser, I will try IE on the Mac tonite and see if it works, but if it does, what a pain. Safari is so much better.

Don't have Firefox. Have had no problem with AOL using IE in the Windows environment recently.

What I have been trying to figure out is what changed??

Allan,

Thanks for your help! Dumping the cache did the trick. AOL mail works fine again via Safari in OS 10.3.9.

FYI, my daughter is running 10.4.x on another Mac in another location without any probs accessing AOL mail.

I'll try Firefox sometime, but want to try Safari in 10.4 version first. Have the SW, haven't had time to upgrade yet.

Thanks again for your help. No wonder 12.7K posts.......

Hope you aren't in an exposed area for Rita. I have a colleague in the Austin area who told me not much weather yet, but gas lines were getting long.

Sponzz (Mac user since 1984, in home and work environments, but then forced to the Dark Side in 1996 at work. ughhh.)
