smart playlist - most played this week / month

smart playlist - most played this week / month

is it possible to create a smart playlist that selects the songs that I have played most that week?

- without resetting all the play counts.

I don't expect to be able to do this within itunes, but does anyone know of any scripts or add-ins I can use?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

You should be able to do this with iTunes.

Create New Smart Playlist. Rule #1 is Playlist is Music. Rule #2 is Last Played is in the last 7 days. Make sure you match ALL rules. Limit to 100 (or your number of choice) selected by Most Often Played.

The only problem with that set up is that "Most Often Played" is most often played ever, not in the last seven days. So, you could have the track that was played the most in the last seven days still not make the top 100 list of most often played.

I don't think it's acutually possible to do this. I believe the quesiton has come up before.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think it was possible. Have been wondering about any third party software that might enable iTunes to do this that anyone knows of?

Take a look over at Doug's Scripts. Sorry, I don't have the URL here. However, if you google Doug's Scrpts iTunes, it should pop right up. There might be something there that can help you.
