static noise when scrolling

I´ve get the new 15" macbook pro, 2.5ghz. When I scroll, either with the touchpad or scroll mouse I get a static noise from the computer. Not every time, but more often then not. I´ve read that this is a problem on older models, but does anyone know how / if there is a fix on the new models?

Thanks in advance

I think I am experiencing the same problem. I bought my 15" MBP with 2.6GHz Penryn processor and 7200rpm 200GB disk just over a month ago and ever since I first got it out of the box I have been hearing this sound. I guess it's to low to be called a problem, but it is definitely annoying, especially when you've spent about 3000$ on a computer.

The sound I am experiencing is a buzzing or static sound that can be described as being somewhat similar to that of the scroll-ball on the mighty mouse. It is kind of a very rapid clicking sound. In my case, it occurs not only while i scroll with two fingers or the MM, but also when i scroll with the sidebars or even when i grab the corner of a browser window to change its size. Although it is a bit lower, I can even hear the sound when scrolling in my iTunes or Finder. The sound is coming from beneath the upper part of the keyboard, below the screen somewhere, though I have a hard time telling if it is from the left or right side.

Like I said, I know this is not a crucial problem, which is why I have hesitated with sending it to repair. It doesn't help that I live in Norway, but bought it in NYC, which means that the Macstore here is likely to send it to the U.S. for repair if it's not an easy fix, and I would be without a computer for lord knows how long. Still, it cost me a lot of money and the sound isn't exactly disappearing in my conciousness, so I am thinking about it, unless someone has any idea of what I can do to fix this without handing it over to Apple.
