Your question is extremmely easy to solve by following just a simple few steps.

1) open safari and press the green plus tab in the top left corner.
2) In the bottom right corner you will see a tab with a few diagonal lines on it click on this and drag it down to the bottom of your viewable screen and along to the bottom right. This will make your screen size full rather than zoomed.
3) i would also recommend resetting your dock settings so that the dock hides, this will enable you to make safari even bigger.

I Hope this helps.

It's really easy, install the Opera browser. http://www.opera.com/download/ I use it on my 17" MBP. With Opera, the browser can be scaled to fill the entire page. No more wide empty margins. In addition you can set it in prefences so that the pages will always open to the magnification you select. I have mine set for 200%. I heard that Firefox Beta 3.4 has this functionality as well although I haven't tried it as yet. http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9890593-7.html?tag=blog.3

Your solution will work, but you will have to do that every time you run Safari. Opera can be set to do so as a default. In addtion, the text/images on the page will also scale up. As a previous poster stated, no browser is perfect.

I don't think this is true. If you resize a Safari window to take the full screen, it will keep that size the next time you open it. You don't have to do this every time.

You can also add the following Javascript snippet as a Bookmark on the Bookmark Bar (I have it in the first bookmark position using the characters [+] as it's name):

javascript:self.moveTo(0,0);self.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight)

This way, if you click on your [+] bookmark, the window will resize to the maximum size (excluding the size of the Dock, if you have the Dock set for Auto Hide, the Safari window will be expanded to the full width) available.

No problem. Glad you found it useful. Here's another little JavaScript "bookmarklet" (I think that's what folks call them, little bookmark applet) that I use:

javascript:t=document.title;x=(window.location);window.location='mailto:?Subject =' t+'&Body='+t+'%20%20'+x'%20';

I name it "@" and put it in the second Bookmark Toolbar position. It creates a new Email with the Subject set to the name of the web page I'm currently viewing and puts the web page's URL in the body of the message.

Between the previous Max Window Size hint at the first slot and this one at the second slot, my life is much more convenient while using Safari. BTW, they can be accessed using the <command>+1 and <command>+2 keyboard combinations. It's nice that the Mail To JavaScript also corresponds to the @ character on the #2 key...

On a side note, to send the entire web page you're viewing (full HTML) in a email, use the <command>+i
key combination.

You can find lots of other little JavaScript "Bookmarklets" out there on the internet, not all work with Safari, but many are useful.

I'm not David, but assuming Entourage is installed,

1. Drag the mail icon off the Dock. The icon will disappear in a puff of smoke (but the application itself will remain in your applications folder).
2. Open your applications folder and find Entourage.
3. Drag its icon onto the Dock to create a shortcut. That's all there is to it and you can move the icon wherever on the Dock you want it to be.

As an alternative to 2 and 3, you can start Entourage, drag its Dock icon to wherever you want it on the Dock, then right-click (or control-click) the Dock icon and select "Keep in Dock" from the contextual menu that comes up.
