I used Windows XP Pro with SP1 instead of SP2 SP2 will not install
I had thought that I could put in my only copy and update later, this appears to not be the case!
Things seem to fine except for that annoying popup saying I need to install Service Pack 2.
What I would like to know is there anyway that I can get service pack 2 to install. With out purchasing a copy of XP Pro with SP2 and having to blow away all my install.
Or
Get around the error below:
I downloaded the SP2 onto my memory stick and then extract it and when it gets to this part:
Estimating space for uninstallation
Service Pack 2 Setup Error
There is not enough disk space on C:\WINDOWS\$NtService PackUninstall$ to install Service Pack 2, Setup requires a minimum of 4 additional megabytes of free space or if you also want to archive the files for uninsatllation, Setup requires 4 additional megabytes of free space. Free additional space on your hard disk and then try again.
How can this be, I have 20 some Gig that is not used on the disk?
