iMac 24 Aluminum screen burn-in?

Hi everyone, I have had this weird screen issue pop up in the last few weeks, It's not the gradient or streaking issue, it looks like a burn in effect as I can see text, icons etc in the background at all times on my iMac, even during boot when the white apple screen is showing.

I have the Aluminum 24 inch iMac 2.4 Ghz.

I am going to post some pictures tomorrow to show this issue, anyone else experiencing this?

I experienced exactly the same issue, its very easy to deal with. Most peoples problems would be solve by cleaning inside the screen. Save yourselves a lot of time and money.

I've just started noticing this too. I can see my icons, the dock, and sometimes text. I've also noticed the gradient getting slightly worse in the last few days.

Spooky this one. Have just done a screen grab of the part of the screen that has my email 'in box' burnt into it. The resulting screen grab shows none of the burnt in image?

I've had the same problems with my 24" screen.

I've had my screen replaced and now the problem is gone. But now I have tons of stuck subpixels so this iMac needs another screen replacement. :/

I also have this problem. My power supply temperature sensor was reading 81oC (almost 179oF!).

I have the same Issues... 😟 after a few hours of work if I leave a window in the same place I will see buttons and other text from the window.
