Reusing ATI X1900XT in a PC

Hi,

I know this is probably off-topic...

I removed the ATI X1900XT from my Mac Pro, due to instability issues, and replaced it with a lower-end nVidia (the one that used to come with the Mac Pro by default).

Can I put the ATI card into a Windows (non Apple) system? Or is the Apple EFI/BIOS incompatible?

Hi Steve,

whereas Apple uses EFI most if not all PC are still using BIOS for graphics card.
Therefor the Mac X1900 does not work in a PC unless you have the opportunity to reflash the EFI to BIOS.

To my knowledge only one mainboard manufacturer has announced EFI-based mainboards for PCs for the near future.
