FTP - notify a user when a file is uploaded?

I have FTP services working on an Xserve running Server 10.5.1 - and the client would like to know if he could get an email notification when someone uploads to it. I'm not sure how I would go about that. anyone?

Xserve Quad-Core 2.8 GHz, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

ah looking at the script it just pops up a message window when a file is added to the folder, maybe this can be altered to create an email message

Isn't there anyone that can trigger an email based on activity in the FTP logs or anything? My client is begging for this tidbit and I dont really know where to begin. Thanks!

I just copied the script from the forum, and it's damaged.

The script functions but the users get a repeating email over and over every minute never ending. Anybody want to help dig this out? 🙂
