Trouble with PPTP connection and Linksys RT31P2

I recently switched to Vonage for my home telephone service. They provided a Linksys RT31P2 router to connect to my cable. This router supposedly supports PPTP pass-through, but after repeated tests and various configurations, I cannot make a connection to any of the VPN servers at my clients. If I bypass the router and plug directly into the cable modem, everything is fine.

After searching the Vonage support forums, this seems to be a common issue with Macs running 10.4. PC's can connect fine through the router, but no Macs seem to be working. Vonage says to contact Linksys, who send me back to Vonage. Any one find a solution? Or, anyone experiencing the same issue? Maybe if enough people complain, someone will try and find out what the solution is.
